Mission

 St. Paul’s Mission Statement:

We are called to accept God’s love,
proclaim and share that love with all people,
while growing in faith as followers of Christ.

In 2010, the congregation held its first discernment retreat at Dull’s Tree Farm south of Frankfort.  Throughout the afternoon, the participants began identifying both the strengths of the congregation and needs within the community.

As a next step towards living into our mission as a congregation, St. Paul’s applied for an ELCA Partnership Grant to assist them through prayer, advice, and financial support.

The vision of St. Paul’s renewal for mission is directed by three goals:

1. To share God’s love with all people by providing a place of welcome for people of all cultures and ages

2. To proclaim God’s love in word & deed by developing partnerships with local agencies and churches to address issues of poverty and social concern

3. To grow in faith as followers of Christ through a prayerful and ongoing discernment of what God is calling us to become and have a ‘listening’ presence within the community

Our mission updates provide a way to learn about and participate in this mission.  These updates include announcements about upcoming mission events and post-event reflections by participants.
