Sacraments & Christian Living

SacramentsClass

In August, St. Paul’s will host a congregation-wide study of baptism, communion, & the call to discipleship.

Currently, two classes have been scheduled.  These courses are especially well-suited for those wishing to be baptized, make a public affirmation of their faith, interested in membership at St. Paul’s.  Students seeking confirmation are strongly encouraged to attend.

1. Sunday Mornings (following service) on August 4th & 11th

This two week course gives an overview of baptism & communion, and their role in shaping discipleship.  The first session will use “Water Washed and Spirit Born” to guide our conversation on baptism.  The second week our discussion will focus on the Lord’s Supper, using the resource, “Fed and Forgiven.”  Participants in this course may elect to be baptized or make public affirmation of their faith following a post-class conversation with Pastor Joshua.

2. Tuesday evenings, 6:30-8:00pm

Tuesday Night Bible study will read together “Baptized We Live.”  The course will run for four sessions, each covering various parts of the book.  Participants in this class may also elect to make public affirmation of their faith.

3. Small Groups

There are no small groups currently scheduled, but if neither of these times work for you, contact Pastor Joshua to see what other opportunities may be available.  You may even wish to find 4-6 people interested in one (or more) of these subjects and host a small group in your home!

Registration for these courses are not required, but advance notice is appreciated so that we can make sure to have enough materials for everyone.  You can also RSVP on Facebook!
